The Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation will assess your claim for unemployment benefits by asking two questions: ‘How much money did you earn?’ and ‘Why was your employment terminated?’. If the answers to these questions meet the eligibility criteria of the AWI, your claim will be accepted.
Financial Eligibility
This is the first test your claim must pass. Once you file your claim, the AWI will determine if your claim meets this criteria:
- You must have received wages in at least two quarters of your base period.
